When I set out to create Short-Term Rentals Asia (STRA), it wasn’t because the world needed another conference or another association. It was because Asia’s short-term rental (STR) community — hosts, property managers, innovators, investors, and policymakers — had no place to truly call their own.

Think about it: in some parts of Asia, STRs already represent nearly a quarter of all accommodation bookings. The sector is worth billions, it’s growing faster than hotels, and it’s reshaping how people travel, invest, and build businesses. And yet, until now, there was no stage in Asia where this community could come together, share stories, and shape its own future.

That’s why STRA exists.

We are here to gather, connect, and grow. Not with stiff boardroom suits or long PowerPoints, but with real conversations, real collaboration, and real momentum. STRA is part conference, part knowledge hub, part community — and all about Asia.

• We are launching the Gather, Connect & Grow conference in Bangkok (Feb 2026) — the first of its kind for Asia’s STR industry.
   
• We have created the Art of STR podcast, a space to share operator stories, lessons learned, and bold ideas.
   
• Our Knowledge Hub and Art of Data projects are about making sense of regulations, technology, and market shifts, so the community can make smarter moves, faster.
