Submission Guidelines
The STR Asia Awards, presented by Short-Term Rentals Asia (STRA), recognise the companies and individuals helping shape the future of the short-term rental sector across Asia.
The awards celebrate leadership, innovation, operational excellence, and meaningful contribution to the growth of the industry across the region.
The inaugural awards will be presented during the Gather · Connect · Grow (GCG) Phuket Summit.
Eligibility
Submissions are open to companies and individuals operating within the short-term rental ecosystem across Asia.
Eligible participants include:
• Property management companies
• Villa and vacation rental operators
• STR technology platforms and service providers
• Industry leaders contributing to the development of the sector
Applicants may nominate their own organisation or be nominated by a third party.
Geographic Scope
Submissions should demonstrate meaningful activity or impact within Asia’s short-term rental sector.
This may include operations, technology adoption, market leadership, or contributions that support the development of the industry within the region.
Submission Requirements
Each submission should clearly address the following:
Organisation or Individual Overview
Brief introduction including scale of operations, markets served, and key activities.
Achievements and Impact
Specific achievements during the past 12–24 months that demonstrate leadership, innovation, or operational excellence.
Contribution to the STR Sector
How the organisation or individual has helped strengthen the short-term rental ecosystem.
Supporting Evidence
Where possible, submissions should include measurable outcomes such as growth metrics, innovation examples, case studies, or industry contributions.
Supporting material such as links, presentations, or media coverage may also be included.
Judging Process
All submissions will be reviewed by an independent judging panel drawn from across travel, hospitality, technology, investment, and policy.
Entries will be evaluated based on:
• industry leadership
• innovation and operational excellence
• contribution to the STR sector in Asia
• measurable impact and results
All STR Asia Awards are judged independently. Participation in the awards dinner or associated activities has no influence on the judging process.
Finalists
A shortlist of finalists will be announced prior to the GCG Phuket Summit.
Finalists will receive recognition across STRA channels and may be invited to participate in the STR Asia Awards Dinner held during the summit.
Winners
Winners of the STR Asia Awards will be announced during the STR Asia Awards Dinner, held as part of the Gather · Connect · Grow Phuket Operator Summit.
Award recipients will be invited to attend the ceremony and may host guests to celebrate the recognition with industry peers.
Winners will receive:
• the STR Asia Awards trophy
• the official STR Asia Awards Winner Badge
• recognition across STRA channels
This badge may be used across company websites, marketing materials, and communications throughout the year.
Submission Deadline
Submission deadlines and entry instructions will be announced alongside the official call for entries.
